Founded in 1966, Gemini G.E.L. is a publisher of limited edition prints and multiples based in Los Angeles, California. The workshop and gallery are located at 8365 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood. Gemini has collaborated with more than 70 artists, including John Baldessari, Philip Guston, Frank Gehry, Jasper Johns, Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Lichtenstein, Bruce Nauman, Robert Rauschenberg, Ed Ruscha, Richard Serra, and many others. More recently, Gemini has created editions with Tacita Dean, Ann Hamilton, Julie Mehretu, and Analia Saban. In 1981, the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., established the Gemini G.E.L. Archive, which functions as a study center for scholars and collectors, and contains a complete history of the workshop.
