Osborne Samuel Gallery

Osborne Samuel Gallery was formed in 2004 after the merger of Peter Osborne’s company Berkeley Square Gallery and the adjacent gallery, Samuel & Co. directed by Gordon Samuel. The partnership continues the specialities of both businesses, the partners having collaborated on a number of important exhibitions for many years before the merger. Peter Osborne and Gordon Samuel have been in the art business for more than 40 years. Peter was Director of the Harlech Fine Art Group and founded Berkeley Square Gallery in 1988, which he acquired in 1994. Gordon was Director at Redfern Gallery and Mercury Gallery before forming Samuel & Co. Tania Sutton became a Director of Osborne Samuel in 2012. In 2017 the gallery moved from Bruton Street to Dering Street at the top of Bond Street in London’s Mayfair district. In 2022 Matthew Bradbury, Director of Modern British art at Bonhams, joined the gallery. With 25 years experience at the auction house Matthew has brought considerable knowledge and expertise to the gallery. Gordon Samuel has stepped back from the business although he still acts for the gallery as a consultant. Peter Osborne, Tania Sutton and Matthew Bradbury are the three Directors of the company, supported by Emma Arrindell, David Briscall, Jenny Thomson (accounts) and Maria Ysart. In the summer of 2025 the building at 23 Dering Street is to be repurposed so all the galleries are relocating. Osborne Samuel have moved to a bespoke gallery site at 21 Cork Street.
