In conjunction with the exhibition "Data Consciousness: Reframing Blackness in Contemporary Print", currently on view at Print Center New York, join us for a virtual conversation featuring printers from shops across the United States who collaborated on the history-making project "Printing Black America: Du Bois's Data Portraits in the 21st Century" (2025) by William Villalongo and Shraddha Ramani. This sweeping print portfolio of 30 images reimagines Du Bois’s data visualizations for our contemporary moment, and has pushed the collaborative nature of printmaking to new heights. Featuring printers from: Graphicstudio, University of South Florida (Tampa, FL); Powerhouse Arts (Brooklyn, NY); Island Press, Washington University (St. Louis, MO); Highpoint Center for Printmaking, (Minneapolis, MN); Mullowney Printing Company (Portland, OR); and Paulson Fontaine Press (Berkeley, CA). Moderated by Print Center New York.
