Sculptors have long turned to printmaking not to reproduce their work, but to extend it. At Flatbed Press, collaborations with sculptors have revealed the printed image as another arena for sculptural inquiry—where questions of mass, material, space, gesture, and touch are translated into ink on paper. Whether through line, texture, or the direct imprint of an object itself, these prints are not secondary to sculpture; they are expressions of sculptural thought in another medium.
