Pines under the Moon
November 26 – December 19, 2026 · London, GB

Rabley Gallery returns with a stellar gathering of artists to exhibit ‘Pines Under the Moon’ at 155a Lordship Lane in London during November and December.
Sadie Tierney ‘Pines Under the Moon’ woodcut prints combine the colour of sunsets on snow. Japanese artist Nana Shiomi reveals a glimpse beyond the interior in ‘The View, I will see it Yesterday’ and ‘A Room on the Other Shore -Moon’ and Prudence Ainslie IRORI – SHINRIN (sunken hearth – forest), gently nestles the forest and sky within her interiors.
The delicate silver lines in Sarah Gillespie ‘Cloud Speaks to Pine’ and the velvety blackness of her new mezzotint ‘Breton Pine’ strike her trees into a luminous silhouette. Sara Lee ‘Night Shimmer’, in delicate pastel, is a moonlit walk on the South Downs and Eileen Cooper ‘Shooting Stars’ takes us constellation gazing. In Emma Stibbon ‘Evening Light Bergs’ the moon glimmers on the sea.
Lucy Farley surrounds us with trees and fjords in ‘Window to the woods’ and Natasha Michaels evokes the tree spirit Daphne in ‘Myth II’. For Katherine Jones there is all but a ‘Hum at Night’, while Molly Martin cossets us with the warmth of ‘Night Bugs’.
‘Pines under the Moon’ pays homage to traditional East Asian artistic masterpieces, such as the early 13th-century Southern Song dynasty painting ‘Viewing the Moon under a Pine Tree’ or Utagawa Hiroshige’s famous ukiyo-e woodblock print ‘Moon Pine, Ueno’ from One Hundred Famous Views of Edo.
