Our exhibition of prints and two recent paintings by the British artist Alexander Massouras (b. 1981) is shown in conjunction with ‘Light Between Rooms,’ a presentation of the artist’s work by our neighbors at Planthouse, on view from September 10 to October 10, 2026. While representational, Massouras’s prints resist easy interpretation. Their titles are often fragmentary sentences that explain as much as they obscure, inviting each viewer to add their own layers of meaning. The two woodcuts included in the show mark a technical departure for the artist and use one of the oldest graphic media to reprise the window theme at the center of Light Between Rooms.

And doesn’t everyone love images of the moon?
