In 2024, Lucy Rosenburgh found herself making a connection between two people, as she has countless times over a 20-year career in the arts. On this occasion, however, the introduction she made between artist Crystalle Lacouture and fine art printer Bryan Smith, sparked a realization for Rosenburgh that there was an ongoing role for her to play as a catalyst and supporter of printmaking collaborations. From this Caira Art Editions was born.
In the past two years, as a print publisher, Caira Art Editions has forged a path for artists to explore traditional and experimental processes and assisted in the creation of poetic original works. In fostering individual collaborations between a small group of artists and printmakers in the Boston area, Rosenburgh has also mindfully given rise to new relationships and opportunities within her community.
“I first met Lucy over twenty years ago. We’ve stayed in touch over the years as she worked in an auction house, as an art consultant, and since 2024, as a fine art print publisher. Lucy has always been dedicated to doing the right thing and doing the best possible, all with the goal of helping increasing awareness and appreciation of the arts. Watching her over the past two years as she further dedicated herself to helping artists in the greater Boston area make editioned prints, I have been moved by her selflessness, her devotion, and her commitment. In addition to Caira Art Editions publications, Lucy has also assisted several non-profits to produce benefit editions. For these reasons, along with the wonderful results (the works of art made by the artists!), I thought it important to celebrate Lucy and the publications she has produced. Krakow Witkin Gallery now presents an exhibition spotlighting the artists with whom Caira Art Editions has collaborated.”

Works by Alison Croney Moses, Crystalle Lacouture, Evelyn Rydz, Limited Time Engagement, and Zainab Sumu will be in on view May 30 – July 17. An opening reception will be held Saturday, May 30, 3–5 pm. A gallery conversation between Lucy Rosenburgh and Andrew Witkin, along with a reading by Zainab Sumu, will take place Tuesday evening, June 16, 5:30–7:30.
