If you weren’t in the room last week for the IFPDA Foundation’s annual benefit, allow us fill you in. On Friday, a vibrant mix of art-world machers gathered to commemorate the foundation’s work with an evening of celebration, conversation, and its second annual Studio Sale initiative.

The Scene: A spirited evening at Christie’s honoring the art of printmaking, as the IFPDA Foundation toasted the its second annual Studio Visit sale. The initiative presents a unique opportunity—still available to book on the foundation’s website through Oct. 24—to peek into the inner sanctums of artists including Ana BenaroyaAdam Pendleton, and Hank Willis Thomas.

Memorable Moment: As a centerpoint of the night’s program, Benaroya and Leslie-Lohman Museum Associate Director of Collections Judy Giera discussed the process of printmaking, and queer contributions to the medium’s canon.

The Crowd: Spotted in the crowd were IFPDA Executive Director Jenny Gibbs and President David Tunick; artists Judith K. Brodsky, Samuel Jablon, and Swoon; curators Nadine Orenstein, Freyda Spira, Judy Hecker, Jennifer Farrell, Sharon Coplan Hurowitz, and Joanna Sheers Seidenstein; printmakers Judith Solodkin, Shaye Remba, and Greg Barnett; and patron Jane Scher.

Cause for FOMO: Guests fêted the IFPDA in a way that only that organization can—the space was filled with rare mounted prints like Paul Cézanne, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Donald Judd, and Robert Rauschenberg.

Parting Gift: As they departed, the evening’s revelers were given the latest issue of CULTURED, a printing feat itself.

The second annual Studio Visit sale will run through Oct. 24 at 11:59 p.m. ET on the IFPDA Foundation website.
