The first major show devoted to the abstract paintings and prints of British artist Gordon House is now on at Shapero Modern – open until 28th March. His first major London exhibition in twenty years!
We are delighted to partner with Gerrish Fine Art on this exhibition of paintings, works on paper and prints by House.
Held at the Maddox Street gallery, this show represents a return for House, to his stomping ground around Bond Street in the 60s and 70s, when he exhibited at Mayfair galleries and worked on graphic design for the Beatles, at their offices on Saville Row.
House was a key figure in the post-war British art scene and his artworks can be found in the permanent collections of many key UK and international institutions including The Tate, The Victoria & Albert Museum and The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
