Christine Vandrisse born July 11, 1959 in Lille, Nord, France Lives and works in Lys lez Lannoy, Nord, France.
Self-taught, after many years in the business, in 2011 she created Les Editions d’Emérence. For eight years, she directed a workshop on book trades in Wasquehal Nord France, Colophon & Filigrane, which has three collective participations in Lille art Up, the largest contemporary art fair north of Paris. To his personal credit, multiple international selections, engraving biennials. His books enter public collections in France and Belgium. Member of the Taylor Foundation in Paris since 2006. Member of ADAGP Paris since 2009. Many awards including Labels Lille 2004 (France) and Mons 2015 (Belgium) European Capitals of Culture. Label Centenary of the Chemin des Dames 2017 (commemoration of the First World War)
Through direct or indirect carving I seek to bring out the expression of the material. My gesture aims to cause the accidents that will guide my future path. The mechanical or chemical action will reveal the common intentions of zinc and my hands guided by the brain. The writing then arises from spontaneity and the unexpected, in perpetual research.
