To celebrate the release of ALLEZ ZOU, a suite of 6 original lithographs born of the collaboration between the graphic designer and typographer Pierre di Sciullo and the painter Marielle Paul, we have brought together never-before-seen works from their respective practices, from drawn poems and typographic experimentations to compositions in watercolor and gouache.
These two artists from two different worlds proposed to join forces via lithography in a unique dialogue. We have been printing and publishing work by Marielle Paul since 2019; but this is our first collaboration with Pierre di Sciullo, one of the most brilliant graphic designers and typographers in France, renowned for his sensual and playful style in posters, magazines (including hiscult revue Qui? Résiste), original fonts and typographic sculptures.
Longtime friends who share their studio space, they elaborated six visual ideas in continuous exchange, creating a set of images that explore dreams and ideas of travel during lockdown. In their works, we don’t know who began or what may have prompted a word or object, and this is of no importance.
