Please join Highpoint Center for Printmaking to celebrate the artistry and new work created by the 2021-2022 Jerome Early Career Printmakers at their culminating exhibition. With generous support from the Jerome Foundation, Savannah Bustillo, Sarah Evenson, and Ryan Gerald Nelson were awarded the opportunity to create new work within a supportive studio program. Over the past nine-month residency, artists were provided access to the artist’s cooperative printshop at Highpoint, technical support, critiques, and critical dialogue with invited arts professionals.

This exhibition stretches well beyond traditional prints on paper – the works are tactile, ephemeral, memorable, and meaningful with origins related to the search for authenticity, generational experiences, and images that play, break down, and theorize on the way we see and interpret media. The Jerome artists have consistently pushed their own processes and forged well beyond the traditions of printmaking. The resulting work is visually stunning, but also imbued with tremendous thought and consideration. On display will be prints on myriad substrates, printed and handmade objects and zines, and performative work, among other art created during their residency at Highpoint.
