Recent Monotypes from Wendy Orville
Wendy Orville was born in 1962 in New York and was raised in New Haven, Connecticut. She received a BA in Fine Arts from Yale University and a MFA in Painting from American University. She lived in Taos, New Mexico before settling in Washington State, both landscapes she frequently reflects on in her work. Orville has taught at Pratt Fine Arts, The Henry Art Gallery, and inkgarden, her own studio on Bainbridge Island. Her work has been shown extensively in the Pacific Northwest and across the United States. Orville is known for her monotype landscapes of natural scenes. Her prints internalize and recreate an environment or experience and often feature trees, water, and sky.
