Soul Tracks is the result of an intense collaboration between Gilgian Gelzer and the print shop. The period from 2015 to the summer of 2021 was a time of unprecedented experimentation in printmaking that went so far as to challenge Gelzer’s way of image-making through the use of a technique as complex as it is surprising — “à bois perdu,” or reduction woodcut printing.
This extensive creative collaboration will be shown to the public for the first time in the Michael Woolworth atelier. The exhibition will put on display 11 new editions (the series Soul Tracks) and 15 unique works (Blind Faith); as well as 7 images produced in 2018 that will be reshown on this occasion (Body Electric).
