Knust Kunz Gallery Editions was founded in 1982 under the name Galerie Sabine Knust. Continuous collaborations with artists like Georg Baselitz, Per Kirkeby, A.R. Penck, Markus Lüpertz, Jörg Immendorff, and Imi Knoebel formed an ongoing presentation of their print and graphic œuvre for over 30 years. In 1998 Matthias Kunz joined as partner. The gallery has two locations in Munich. The second space KNUSTxKUNZ+ was opened in 2010, dedicated to up-and-coming younger artists but also holding space for new edition projects and publications, to broaden the possibilities of presentation and interaction. In its almost 40 year history the gallery has stayed dedicated to the publishing of Fine Art Prints, and has realized projects with artists such as Aaron Curry, Josephine Meckseper, Jonathan Meese, Lari Pittmann, Katharina Sieverding, and Christopher Wool.

Collage as Concept: Jack Pierson, Lari Pittman, and Daniel Richter
The Collage is ingrained in the conceptual start of Modern Art. With Picasso's 1912 “Still-life with Chair Caning”, the printed canvas started the dialogue of a painted still-life with a mass-produced representation, the work itself references the conditions of its creation.
