James Tissot - Victorian Enigma
James Tissot's beautifully rendered etchings and drypoints offer insightful glimpses into the complexities of Victorian society. The recent exhibition "James Tissot - Fashion & Faith" has refocused interest into this enigmatic artist.
Bottini was born, raised and died within the confines of the village of Montmartre. It was this milieu, the underbelly of fin de siècle Paris, that he brought to life through color etchings, lithographs and woodblocks.
