Javier Perez
Under currents
2021
59 x 42 cm each plates
pigment printing and original interventions on Canson paper 310 g
4 copies signed
For our gallery, the Spanish artist Javier Perez has just completed a sequence of 7 plates on which he intervened with inks and pigments. The images are called Under currents.
Initially, these images recorded the memory of his nightmares embodied in his pillow. In a second phase, the artist intervenes on the print of these photographs with ink and pigments. These interventions, patiently distilled on the surface, aim at re-enchanting these dark visions by the irruption of a veil of solar colours affirming the omnipotence of the imaginary and the unconscious. Each enhanced plate is therefore a unique piece.
Giuseppe Penone

original engravings (taille douce) on Arches paper 250 g

For our gallery, Giuseppe Penone selected seven tree species so as to give a plastic transcription of a Musical Tree Structure in the form of seven engravings (65 x 50 cm). Each engraving is aimed at giving a physical equivalent of that sound wave…
"A Musical Transcription of Tree Structure" is composed by the original prints of the seven engravings, each having been numbered and signed by the artist. For this exceptional collaboration, Giuseppe Penone decided to limit the printing to twenty-five editions for sale, giving this work a precious and rare quality.

For our Gallery, the artist imagines this new silkscreen print printed in 14 copies, in an intense ultramarine blue.
The new set of serigraphs that Claire Trotignon proposes, The Other Walls, asserts itself here as a political questioning of our culture where the imagination of the past collides with the hopes of the future.

Discovering by chance a set of anatomical plates of the human body during a stroll in a flea market, Philippe Favier immediately wanted to re-enchant this body of scientific images. By isolating certain figures by adding a black background, he suddenly reinforces the bewitching side of these representations.
