Mission Statement
Through its network, online presence, and public programs, the IFPDA fosters knowledge and stimulates discussion about collecting prints in the public sphere and the global art community. The IFPDA Print Fair, held annually in New York City, is the largest and most celebrated art fair dedicated to the artistic medium of printmaking. The annual IFPDA Book Award honors scholarly excellence and original research. The IFPDA also advances research, education, and dialogue for a new generation through its charitable Foundation.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee Mission Statement
Dedicated to creating and fostering opportunities and providing access for traditionally underrepresented groups to participate in all aspects of IFPDA membership including the Board of Directors and the Foundation. The overarching goal of the Committee is to enable the IFPDA to reflect and share a wide range of perspectives and to contribute to the international print community. Leading by example through actions and accountability, the work of the Committee will ensure the ongoing cultural relevance of the IFPDA and ensure its viability for the future by increasing both the number and the diversity of the IFPDA membership.
Goals:
Fundraising – Enlist participation from 100% of our members who can show their support of the committee’s mission and goals by making a contribution to the IFPDA Foundation for funding internships, fellowships, and public programs.
Internship program – A new partnership with Atlanta Center Art History and Curatorial Studies Collective will start in the summer of 2022. Internship placements are awarded through the AUC and participation is open to all IFPDA members in the US and worldwide.
IFPDA Fair Invitational – Create a path to membership by inviting a limited number of new presses, publishers, and/or galleries to exhibit with a small booth at the IFPDA fair. A goal of the committee is to increase the membership of POC businesses by 20% in the next five years.
Public Programs – Plan lectures, studio visits, and panel discussions with invited participation from BIPOC scholars, curators, artists, and collectors in the US and abroad.
Educational materials – Provide a list of books on the IFPDA website relevant to our mission.
