Roy B. Ahlgren
A printmaker and instructor, Ahlgren was born in Erie, PA. Following several courses of study including a BS. edu. at Penn State University he went on to work for the US Information Agency in Washington DC, and the Butler Art Institute in Youngstown, OH.
Ahlgren exhibited at the National Academy of Design Annual in New York, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the 1969 National Exhibition of Prints, the Library of Congress, and the International Exhibition of Graphic Art in Frechen, Germany. Ahlgren was the recipient of over 20 national and regional prizes; as well as being a teacher and a member of the Boston and Philadelphia Print Clubs. He is particularly noted for his serigraph work.
