Paul Henry Ramirez was born in 1963 in El Paso, TX. His exuberant, colorful abstract paintings and multi-media installations have been exhibited in solo shows at Caren Golden Fine Art, Mary Boone Gallery, the Tang Teaching Museum, and the Whitney Museum at Phillip Morris. His work has been reviewed in The New York Times, Art in America, ArtForum, Flash Art, Time Out New York, New Art Examiner, Art Papers, and The Village Voice.
My art simultaneously evokes a childish innocence and a sexual provocativeness. This dichotomy is at the essence of the work. Whether on canvas, paper or applied to the wall, my subjects are whimsical, suggestive, alluring and invite speculation.
